Hi, I’m Attorney Raven Mello.

But you can call me “Raven.” I’m the founding attorney of Mello Law & Advocacy, PLLC. This isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of what I believe in.

  • I believe in treating clients like friends and family. I will give it to you straight. No fancy jargon, just plain English that you can understand. It is hard to navigate the system on your own, which can be confusing and frightening. Instead, I want for you to feel centered and understood.

I think of my job as a conduit of information. It is the responsibility of a good attorney to act as a translator, helping you understand the law in plain English, and then translating your wants into legal writing. It is important to me that you fully understand the process so that you can make truly informed decisions about your matter. I want you to leave every call or meeting feeling like you have more clarity and calm than you did beforehand.

    I have your back.

  • Despite being born in New Bedford, MA to New Bedford natives, I spent the majority of my life in Florida. Moving back to Massachusetts for law school and eventually opening a practice here has felt like a homecoming to me. In my practice of law, I seek to center the voices and experiences of my clients: honest, hardworking people like the people who raised me.

After I completed law school, I found myself working at law firms in Boston where I rapidly learned my trade from expert mentors on complicated cases. However, working in the big city also showed me firsthand how inaccessible legal help can be. It is my goal to make quality legal representation more accessible to my community.
